Sunday Morning Bible Study:

On Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. we come together for an hour of Bible Study, in which we learn about God’s Word and its application to all areas of life. Currently Pastor Lloyd Williams is going through the book of 1st Corinthians.  Below is a list of and description of classes that we offer during the 9:30 hour:

Nursery (Newborn – Age 4) – We seek to reflect the love of Christ to our littlest ones through scripture, songs, activities and specific prayer for each child.

Noah’s Room (Special Needs) – These dear children will see the wonder and greatness of God as they learn about key themes found throughout the Bible.

Adventure Kidz (K-5th Grade) – Using songs, Bible lessons, and activities to help children become so saturated with the Word of God that they treasure Jesus alone as the One who saves and satisfies the heart. Youth (Junior & Senior High) – God, not self, should be at the center of our lives. Our goal is to make mature disciples of Christ who are prepared for a life of passionate service to Him.

Adults – The Christian life is a process of growth. Experience encouragement, fellowship, and
transformation as we grow together, seeking to understand and apply Biblical truth.

Sunday Morning Worship:

Our Worship service begins at 10:30 a.m, led most often by our teaching elder. During this time, we sing several songs, offer prayers of praise and confession to God, hear Scripture read and explained, and give our offerings and tithes.

Music – The music we sing at FBC Fowlerville is a blend of old and new. We love the doctrinally rich hymns of the sixteenth century and we find blessing in the choruses of the twenty-first. Most of us who are comfortable with music from one particular era have discovered, while at FBC, that we have come to enjoy other songs that we had not previously encountered. We strongly prefer congregational singing, which emphasizes the gathered body singing praise to God with one voice, over performed music, which tends to spotlight the abilities of some while encouraging passivity in the rest.

Sermons – Preaching at FBC is generally expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the point of a particular Biblical passage. Sermons usually last around 45 minutes and are packed with material for reflection. On a regular basis, our sermon series alternate between the Old and New Testaments. All preaching is driven by the Gospel, the Bible’s main message of God’s saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
